The Supreme Court decided the Irene Morgan case based on the commerce clause of the Constitution, not on moral grounds. The argument made by Thurgood Marshall and the NAACP's legal team was based on a High Court ruling from the 1870s that said the commerce clause prevented one state (Louisiana) from imposing an integration law on another (Mississippi). Using the same logic, the court ruled against segregation in Morgan.

Given the Roberts' Court recent ruling on school desegregation in Seattle and Louisville, how do you think it would rule on Morgan today?
